Public Engagement

The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) will ensure broad public input into the development of the Encompass 2035 through a variety of public engagement activities

Speakers Bureau
Year round, as well as for the Encompass 2035, staff from the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments and the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) participate in a Speakers Bureau. Activities of the Speakers Bureau range from formal presentations and panel discussions to business-to-business networking opportunities. The mission of the program is to promote the services of the MPO and to inform and educate Central Oklahomans.

Civic group meetings, luncheons, seminars, neighborhood associations, breakfast meetings, conferences and peer-to-peer engagements are all ideal forums for the Speakers Bureau. ACOG has a display booth and staff can hand out educational items for appropriate occasions. Please contact Jerry Church (jchurch@acogok.org) if you have any Speakers Bureau opportunities.

Essential to the transportation planning process, public involvement is the link between ACOG and the citizens of the Central Oklahoma region. As a part of developing the Encompass 2035, ACOG’s Public Participation Plan is designed to provide citizens with complete information, timely public notice, full access to key decisions, and early and continued involvement in the process, and to ensure this broad public input into the plan development, ACOG will conduct the following activities:
