Public Fleet Conversion Grants Funding Opportunity

ACOG released its third Public Fleet Conversion Grants funding opportunity on April 29th. Approximately $277,000 is available for alternative fuel vehicles, hybrid vehicles and alternative fueling and recharging infrastructure. Applications are due June 11 and projects selected for award under this competitive solicitation must be completed by August 30, 2011.

Projects that can demonstrate quick turnaround utilizing "off-the-shelf" technologies such as currently available hybrid cars and trucks, as well as vehicles such as the natural gas Honda Civic GX will be given priority.

Funding ratios for this solicitation are 50-percent federal funding with required 50-percent (50%) local match. Minimum project request is $46,000 ($23,000 federal/$23,000 local).Solicitation guidelines and application can be downloaded from ACOG's website.
