ACOG Celebrates National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week
9-1-1 ACOG Central Oklahoma
9 April 2017
ACOG is celebrating the second full week of April (April 9-15) as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments in partnership with 9-1-1 ACOG celebrates the second full week of April (April 9-15) as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW). This week, sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.
ACOG staff in the organization’s 9-1-1 and Public Safety Division recently expressed their appreciation for dispatchers across the Central Oklahoma region. Brent Hawkinson, Division Director for 9-1-1 and Public Safety and Robin Murray, 9-1-1 Programs Manager recently visited 9-1-1 centers and delivered chocolate and custom T-shirts.
