As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Central Oklahoma, ACOG coordinates all regional transportation planning efforts within the metropolitan region. Known as the Oklahoma City Area Regional Transportation Study (OCARTS) area, the area encompasses all of Oklahoma and Cleveland counties and portions of Canadian, Grady, Logan and McClain counties. Planning efforts are described in an annual Unified Planning Work Program and includes the development of a long-range transportation plan, short-range implementation programs and continuous monitoring of demographic and socioeconomic data that impact area wide growth and travel demand.
