We thought we would experiment with social media and see how it can help draw attention to our regional rideshare program, GetAroundOK. We have about 600 subscribers, and we would like to have 1,000 by the end of summer. Right now, the Oklahoma City region has the lowest gasoline prices of any metro in the country. While we are not hoping for higher gas prices to drive up subscribers, we came up with another idea.
This summer, every Friday will be a Fuel-LESS Friday with GetAroundOK.com.
Starting June 4 and running through September 3, GetAroundOK will be awarding TWO weekly winners a gift certificate to a local eatery or gas station (vast potential for the establishments featured). Remember, just because the temperature is rising doesn’t mean that the money you spend on gas has to go up, as well!
To be eligible for the giveaway, just follow our tweets and messages every weekday on Twitter and Facebook and be quick on the draw when we ask the Fuel-LESS Friday trivia question. Don’t worry, if you keep track of us during the week, we’ll be sure to drop you a clue. The first person to respond correctly on Twitter and Facebook win the gift cards for the week.
