How should Central Oklahoma grow? How would you invest in our regional transportation system? How would you pay for those investments? As input to Central Oklahoma’s upcoming Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), Encompass 2040, ACOG invites Central Oklahomans to take the Transportation & Growth Survey. This 15-question online survey takes just a few minutes to complete and will provide ACOG with valuable public input as we work to complete Encompass 2040 by spring 2016.
In compliance with federal requirements, Encompass 2040 will guide how Central Oklahoma will invest its federal, state, and local transportation dollars through 2040. Demographic analyses, projected development and population trends, and forecasted travel patterns will inform three regional growth scenarios illustrating the different ways Central Oklahoma could look over the next twenty-five years. The Transportation & Growth Survey, the first of three surveys to be conducted, focuses on measuring preferences for Central Oklahoma’s future transportation priorities and development patterns.
This survey marks the beginning of ACOG’s efforts to engage and involve Central Oklahomans in shaping the future of the region’s transportation system. In November, ACOG will host a Tuesday, November 17 public meeting at Oklahoma City’s Santa Fe Station to kick-off the Encompass 2040 planning efforts and our Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) will reconvene to provide formal recommendations from the public to ACOG’s elected stakeholders.
