ACOG Economic Development District

In April 2013, ACOG was designated an official Economic Development District (EDD) by the U.S. Economic Development Administration. The federal designation means that the organization will be responsible for maintaining and updating the region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). U.S. EDA’s investment policy is designed to establish a foundation for private sector job growth and the building of durable regional economies throughout the United States.

ACOG will provide technical support, financial and administrative reporting, record keeping and membership information for the Central Oklahoma region, EDD partners and stakeholders, and its committees.

Aside from annually updating the Central Oklahoma CEDS, ACOG EDD staff will be available to assist members with the development of local economic development strategies. ACOG staff will also strive to enhance economic development activities by providing an environment where municipalities and organizations can meet to discuss pertinent issues and pursue regional initiatives that strengthen all of Central Oklahoma.
