Hannah Nolen, Transportation Planner,
Environment and Special Projects

ACOG has hired Hannah Nolen to serve as Transportation Planner, Environment and Special Projects, in the Transportation Planning and Services Division. Nolen was raised in Ponca City, and has lived in Edmond since 2013.
Nolen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a Master’s in Geography from the University of Oklahoma with an emphasis on physical geography and biogeography. Her thesis was the historic distribution of the black-tailed prairie dog in Western Oklahoma.
She previously served as a GIS Analyst at the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, and as a GIS Analyst at Chesapeake Energy.
Her primary job functions will include, but are not limited to:
- Collecting, updating and analyzing environmental, transportation, and demographic data for short-range and long-range transportation plans and determining the potential social and environmental impacts
- Assisting with special projects such as regional scenario planning and traffic safety initiatives
- Engaging with local, state and federal entities, as well as other stakeholders concerning environmental planning, congestion mitigation efforts, and safety initiatives
- Assisting with scoring criteria development, project evaluation, funding monitoring, and reporting for Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) grant program
- Supporting various committees and public outreach initiatives and events
Hannah loves to travel. She is pictured here on a recent trip to England.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys traveling, reading, crafting and gardening, particularly succulents. She also loves to spend time with family and friends. She is married to Chip Nolen who works at EMBARK. The couple has two beloved dogs, Buffy and Izzy.
