Help raise awareness for road safety, healthy habits, and a clean environment by participating in National Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

National Walk to School Day was started in 1997 and has led to long-term walking and bicycling programs, new sidewalks and pathways, enforcement of unsafe driving behaviors, and policy changes at schools and in communities around the county. By walking to school rather than driving, you are reducing air pollution, avoiding traffic congestion, and engaging in healthy physical activity.

In the United States, Walk to School Day is expected to include more than 5,000 events across all 50 states. Walkers from the U.S. will join children and adults in 40 countries around the world.
