The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) announces a Call for Projects for the Air Quality Small Grant Program. A total of $200,000 in CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality) funds are available for small bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, transit improvements, and congestion relief efforts. Each project eligible for the program should be no less than $20,000 and applicants will be required to generate 20 percent of their proposed project budget through local, non-federal funds.
Projects funded with Federal Highway Administration CMAQ funds must provide a reduction in ozone-forming pollutants by relieving congestion or reducing single-occupancy vehicle travel.
Eligible projects include, but are not limited to:

- Bicycle and/or pedestrian infrastructure, signage, and pavement markings
- New transit facilities such as lines, stations, stops, and terminals
- Transit equipment
- Traffic signalization projects
- Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) projects
- Traffic calming measures
Applications may be submitted as early as Friday, September 27. The deadline for all applications is Friday, November 1.
Applicants must be located within the boundaries of the Oklahoma City Area Regional Transportation Study (OCARTS), and may include:

- Local governments (towns, cities, and counties)
- Transit agencies
- Public school districts, public schools, or public universities (with support from local municipality)
- Tribal governments
