DRIVE ELECTRIC POKER RUN
Central Oklahoma EV Drivers Go ALL IN
The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) celebrated 2020 National Drive Electric Week on October 3 with a Poker Run highlighting electric vehicles (EVs).
EV drivers from around the state converged in Edmond for a Poker Run that highlighted charging station event partners including Bob Howard Chevy, AAA Tire & Auto Service, OnCue, Francis Energy, & the University of Central Oklahoma.
Participants drew a card at each charging station stop, with the best five card stud poker hand winning a $200 VISA gift card provided by Bob Howard Chevy.
ACOG and the Central Oklahoma Clean Cities Coalition (COKCC) are committed to improving air quality for the central Oklahoma region, and electric vehicles are an important strategy in reducing transportation emissions. Every year National Drive Electric Week brings attention to the increasing market for EVs nationwide, and community support for and adoption of electric vehicles has been, and continues to be, vital for expanding the EV market in Oklahoma.
ACOG and COKCC is continuing to celebrate NDEW all month long by offering electric vehicle test drives in partnership with Bob Howard Chevrolet. Sign up to test drive a Chevy Bolt at Bob Howard and get a free 2020 National Drive Electric Week t-shirt with each test drive. Test drives through this event will be offered Monday-Saturday until October 31, but Bob Howard Chevrolet is happy to offer EV test drives all year round.
