CITY OF BETHANY ANNOUNCES JOB OPPORTUNITY: POLICE DEPARTMENT COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

The City of Bethany is accepting applications for the position of Police Department Communications Specialist (9-1-1 Dispatcher).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job functions include answering 911 emergency calls, dispatching police, fire, and medical services. The successful applicant must have the ability to multi-task in an often fast paced, high stress environment. Excellent communication and computer skills will be needed. Applicants must complete an extensive background check; those with felony convictions will not be considered. Applicants must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Applicants will complete a written exam, oral review board interview and interview with the Chief of Police.

MONTHLY SALARY RANGE:
$2,843 to $4,376
