The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) is hosting three open houses to encourage public comments on the final recommendations of Encompass 2035, the region’s long-range transportation plan.

Transportation planners will be available to answer questions and receive comments at the come and go events. Recommendations of the plan, a draft plan summary, and a future project list will be made available.

The meetings are set for:

Tuesday, April 5
@ Francis Tuttle Technology Center
Reno Campus, Room 1160
7301 W. Reno, Oklahoma City

Wednesday, April 6
@ Norman Public Library
225 N. Webster, Norman

Thursday, April 7
@ Oklahoma City Community Foundation
1000 N. Broadway, Oklahoma City

As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), ACOG coordinates transportation planning efforts within the Oklahoma City Area Regional Transportation Study (OCARTS) area. The OCARTS region encompasses all of Oklahoma and Cleveland Counties and portions of Canadian, Grady, Logan and McClain Counties.

All meetings are scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be a presentation at 5 p.m. for each meeting. All meetings will present the same information, so those attending may choose a date and location that is convenient for them.

Participants taking public transportation in Norman should consider the Main Street N10 Red line. For the OCCF site in Oklahoma City, riders should consider METRO Transit’s Route 2. For the Francis Tuttle meeting, riders should consider Route 23. For more details, call 235-RIDE. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, ACOG will provide for reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities.

For those that can’t attend the meetings, written comments on the plan can be submitted to acog@acogok.org, or on Twitter @acogok. Or, call 234-2264 for more information, or visit www.acogok.org/2035.
