Technical review and guidance for the ACOG MPO planning programs are provided by the ACOG MPO Technical Committee. This committee is generally comprised of city planners, city engineers and traffic managers, and also includes representatives of various modes, environmental agencies, the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, ODOT and the federal transportation agencies. Bike to Work Week is an annual event designed to encourage people to use their bikes as a means of transportation. According to the League of American Bicyclists, 40% of all trips in the U.S. are less than two miles, making bicycling a feasible and fun way to get to work.

The Edmond Ride of Silence is a ride to recognize and honor bicycle riders who have been injured or killed on the roadway. Meet at the parking lot west of Target.

Two group rides will go through Guthrie to celebrate Bike to Work Week. We will ride through neighborhoods, downtown and some of Guthrie’s beautiful parks. At the end, we’ll gather back at Hoboken Coffee for socializing. Come help raise awareness of bicycling for fun, fitness, and transportation!

Celebrate National Bike to Work Week at the Edmond Bike to Work Day ride! This group ride starts at 7:45 AM and will tour different parts of Edmond, including the new Ayers bike lanes. Snacks, coffee, and door prizes will be available at the finish.
