9-1-1 Dispatchers help save lives every day all across Central Oklahoma. They are the unseen heroes in the community.

They miss birthdays, holidays, games, dinners, and family gatherings so they can be there for you.

They work nights, weekends and holidays so they can be there for strangers in what is often the worst moments of their lives.

ACOG Celebrates Unseen Heroes: 9-1-1 Dispatchers!

Thank you

For working nights, holidays and weekends.

Thank you

For all the times you worked on Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, New Year’s Eve and your wedding anniversary.

Thank you

For all the years you’ve continued to bring your A-game, while going underappreciated and seldom seen.

Thank you

For all the times you worked on your kid’s birthday, and your birthday!

Thank you

For all the times you missed family gatherings to be there for a family you never met.

Thank you

For being a calm and reassuring voice during the worst moments of someone’s life.

Thank you

For helping our citizens get the help they need. For being a virtual hand they hold while they wait for help to arrive.

Thank you

For taking those really tough calls. The terrifying calls. The calls during which someone took his last breath. ACOG celebrates you not only during National Telecommunicator Week, but every day of the year!

9-1-1 Dispatchers: Every Call Becomes A Part of You

9-1-1 Training Institute

Did you know ACOG manages the 9-1-1 Training Institute? Our 9-1-1 Institute Programs Manager is Robin Murray, a former police officer and 9-1-1 dispatcher. She’s been on the front lines and is an expert in 9-1-1 dispatch operations.

Thank you

For all the times you were there to hear a baby born!

Thank you

For those especially tragic calls when someone takes his or her own life. We know you did everything you could to save them.

Thank you

For those times citizens called because the dry cleaner ruined their favorite suit or the waitress didn’t leave the onions off their hamburger. We’ll keep educating the public about your true, life-saving and public safety mission!

Thank you

For all the times you were there when a child was afraid and didn’t know what to do.

Thank you

For all the times you were there when someone found their loved one had passed away. Thank you for staying with them while they cried. Thank you for going beyond the call and consoling them.
