School Bus Replacement Funding Opportunities

Program Applications Now Being Accepted

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is pleased to announce two funding opportunities that aim to reduce vehicle emissions in the state.

  1. The Diesel Emissions Reductions Act (DERA) program will offer approximately $704,000 toward diesel or gasoline school bus replacements.
  2. The Alternative Fuel School Bus Program, funded by the Volkswagen State Environmental Mitigation Trust, will offer approximately $2.6 million towards alternative fuel school bus projects.

Applications for both programs are due on or before December 6, 2019. Applications received by November 22, 2019 will be screened for completeness.
