Learn About OKC United

A local organization, OKC United, has formed to fight State Question 779. Citizens will have the opportunity to vote on the measure in November. Despite passionate support for public education, the majority of Oklahoma’s municipalities — towns and cities across the state — oppose SQ 779. As OKC United explains, if the measure passes, it will make it difficult for towns and cities to fund critical needs like police, fire, sidewalks, public transit and other essential services.
