[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXmeJyEfaGs]The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) is hosting a public meeting on the Intermodal Transportation Hub Study for Central Oklahoma, to encourage comments and feedback on the recommended hub site location.
• When: Thursday, May 5, at 5 p.m. (Presentation starts promptly at 5 p.m.)
• Where: ACOG Offices, 21 E. Main Street, Suite 100, Oklahoma City (Bricktown).
Project consultant, Jacobs, will be available to answer questions and receive comments at the session. This is the second of three planned meetings. The final meeting will likely occur in June.
The first meeting, held on January 20 examined 10 sites, and narrowed them down to three. This meeting, the consultanting team will look at the three and make a recommendation. If you missed the first meeting, all the videos and information are available here: A preview video is above.
The major goal of the Hub Study is to recommend the best location and provide a conceptual layout for an intermodal transportation hub that would serve the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
ACOG serves as the sponsor and coordinating entity for the study. Other funding/study sponsors include the Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority (COTPA), the city of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT). An Intermodal Hub Study Advisory Committee also includes the cities of Edmond, Midwest City, Norman and Yukon; the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber; railroad representatives; and downtown and transit advocacy organizations.
