Launched last October, the second phase of the Regional Transit Dialogue (RTD) engages locally elected officials, private sector leaders and other stakeholders and members of the public to consider how and if regional transit will factor into Central Oklahoma’s future. Resources from each of the meetings, including video and presentation decks, are posted online for those interested in learning more.
The first three meetings of the RTD Steering Committee, chaired by Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, have explored the role of the Regional Transit Dialogue, the benefits and opportunities created by rail transit within metropolitan areas and the Commuter Corridors Study, an analysis of transportation options within three corridors identified in the 2005 Fixed Guideway Study.
With the next meeting of the RTD Steering Committee scheduled for Thursday, May 23rd, anyone interested can review each prior meeting’s agenda, summaries and presentations. Videos of the meetings are also available via ACOG’s YouTube channel.
