The Uptown 23rd Merchants Association will host a presentation on walkability in the NW 23rd corridor commercial district by Walkable OKC’s Sid Burgess on Wednesday, August 21st, at 6PM in Oklahoma City University’s Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center’s Great Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Walkable OKC’s presentation will cover the importance of walkability, particularly in a commercial corridor, and include the results of a walkability audit conducted along NW 23rd as part of a Walkable Communities Workshop held in March. With the revitalization of NW 23rd well underway thanks to the efforts of the Uptown 23rd Merchants Association, the importance of a walkable community cannot be understated to improve quality of life and ensure the continued success of local businesses throughout the corridor.

If you can’t make the meeting, Uptown 23rd has smartly set-up a Livestream so you can watch the entire presentation in real time tomorrow night.
